John Denver

John Denver was born n this day in 1943 n Roswell, New Mexico.  John would have celebrated his 68th birthday today, but passed away October 12, 1997 in a plane crash.  On March 12, 2007, Colorado’s Senate passed a resolution to make Denver’s trademark 1972 hit “Rocky Mountain High” one of the state’s two official state songs, sharing duties with its predecessor, “Where the Columbines Grow.”  Take a moment and support the Class Country Nation Blog by clicking one of the ads, or to buy John Denver music Click Here.
