It was on this day 19 years ago that Paulette Carlson announced she was leaving the band Highway 101 to pursue a solo career. Between 1987 and 1990, Carlson had led Highway 101 into the Billboard Top 10 ten times including three #1 songs. After that, Highway 101 never got close to the same success and Paulette's solo career did the same. Some things are better left unchanged. Enjoy one of those #1's from Highway 101 below...
